This is a photo book project started in 2021, (hopefully) finished by 2025.
It began as "The White Noise" and was shortlisted in Urbanautica Institute Awards 2021 / Category: Representation of Space, Architecture, and Conflicts.
The second version grew into a handmade artist book with the help of a group of Chinese artists (MiscLab) in Tianjin.
Recently, while the narratives and formatting being finalised, it was granted a Silver Award at Analog Sparks Award 2025 / Category: Zines and Photo Book, Street.
Next, I will be looking for a publisher to turn this pdf into a real book. It'll be a rundown of a 4/4 percussion exercise consisting of 7 chapters that takes up to 120+ pages (please drop me a message if you'd like to own one!).
Finally, while exploring the actual publishing space, I cannot wait to showcase a few excerpts below. And I deliberately hide the Chinese essay pages as a bonus track for people who share the same mother tongue with me.
